What happens in our Infant classrooms when mom and dad are busy at work?Play is our main focus as we are encouraged by our nurturing teachers to engage in parallel play and to begin to socialize with our friends.
Language and Literacy are a part of our daily program as we sing songs, listen to stories, use visual aids and get introduced to theme based vocabulary.
We are very curious and often use our senses to explore the world around us. Many of our toys have many textures to allow us to engage in sensory play. We also practice our fine motor skills by grasping, rolling and manipulating different objects.
Strengthening our muscles is a very important part of our day. We participate in lots of tummy time, use the pull bars to practice standing and even participate in baby yoga to increase flexibility and balance!
Have you ever wondered what our toddlers do all day while Mom and Dad are at work?
We meet for circle time to help us develop attention span and learn to engage in meaningful experiences
We have lots of moments for Storytime and use an interactive word wall using theme based vocabulary to help us develop pre reading skills, reading comprehension, and to perfect our receptive and expressive language skills.
We work in small groups to practice our fine motor skills, using writing utensils, and we get lots of opportunities to emerse ourselves in pre writing and art activities. Time is devoted each day that allows us to express our creativity, whether it's through pretend play or a fun art activity!
We practice our critical thinking skills by engaging in science experiments and investigations! We also use our sensory skills to explore the world around us :-)
We incorporate lots of music and movement activities to practice rhythm, dance and to show off our musical talents!
Most of all, we enjoy receiving and giving displays of affection to our teachers and friends, as we immerse ourselves in a nurturing and loving environment.
